Bolangir: A Special Operations Group (SOG) jawan was critically injured in a landmine explosion at Kuabahali village under Turekela block here last evening.

According to officials, the incident took place during a combing operation. SOG jawan Nasib Seth sustained critical injuries on his left leg. First he was rushed to Patnagada hospital but later brought to district headquarter hospital here as his condition deteriorated.

On January 6, Maoist had set a JCB machine and tractor on fire engaged in the road construction work between Mahakhand and Bhalumunda near Turekela. Besides, they put up posters in the area demanding to stop the combing operations.
