Baripada: The Similipal National Park in Mayurbhanj district will reopen for the public and tourists from November 1, an order issued by the field director of the tiger reserve mentioned. All activities in the park would be carried out in strict adherence to Covid-19 guidelines in place.

As per the order, a maximum of 35 four-wheelers carrying visitors will be allowed entry after getting necessary permit at Kaliani (Jashipur) entry point, while 25 vehicles would get the permit at Pithabata entry point for carrying tourists into the reserve. The tourists can only enter the park through these two entry points and permit for the same will be issued between 6-9 AM every day, provided one vehicle has at least one tour guide.
