Sex tape scandal: Police launches manhunt to nab BJD ex-MLA

Phulbani: A day after OTV published a report of a sex tape of BJD’s ex-MLA from Phulbani, Debendra Kanhar doing rounds; two special teams have been formed by Kandhamal Police to nab him.

A case has also been registered against the woman who made the video viral, informed Kandhamal Superintendent of Police, Prateek Singh today.

"Cases have been registered against three people Debendra Kanhar, Rinku Sahu (Kanhar’s associate) and Baijayanti Kanhar. All of them are absconding. We have conducted raids at their residences and formed two special teams to nab them," Singh said.

On the other hand Phulbani MLA Duguni Kanhar said, “Only after an investigation the truth will come out. This is completely his personal business and it is not about BJD.”

A few days back, a young woman of Phulbani had lodged a complaint against Kanhar at the Sadar police station of the district alleging that the former legislator and his associate Rinku Sahoo trespassed into her house and misbehaved with her.

The complainant claimed that Kanhar had relationship with several women and used to blackmail everyone.

Yesterday, a sex tape of the former legislator emerged exposing his involvement in immoral acts.
