Khurdha: The court of the Sub-divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM), Khurdha has directed the officials at the Baghamari police station to register all complaints filed by Odisha Television Ltd (OTV) in three cases related to the Sarua land issue.
The court also ordered the police to submit a detailed report by December 15 after conducting proper investigation into the cases.
"The petition U/S (3) CrPc. is allowed send the complaint petition to the IIC of Baghamari PS for registration of a case treating the complaint petition as FIR, investigate and submit F.F before dtd 15-12-2020," the order issued by the Sub-divisional Judicial Magistrate stated.
The first complaint made by the news channel was that the district administration had forcefully trespassed after demolishing the boundary wall of OTV studio situated at Sarua on October 15 without serving prior notice.
On October 31, some contractual employees had assaulted two on-duty channel officials- site engineer Dinabandhu Samant and supervisor Biswajit Routray-- at the premises of the studio in Sarua.

In its third complaint, the channel had stated that some contractual employees had laid a siege of the studio complex in an illegal manner since November 1 and blocked entry into the campus for last several days.
OTV's lawyer Chinmay Mohanty informed that though the Baghamari police station had acted on the complaints filed by the opposite party/ies in all the three cases, the complaints filed by the channel authorities have not yet been taken into consideration.
