Sambalpur: A girl student of Sambalpur University committed suicide today by hanging herself in her hostel room.
The deceased, identified as Swati Priya Sahu was a first year student of MA (English) and was staying in Silver Jubilee hostel in the varsity campus.
Sources said, she hailed from Badamala town of Bolangir district.
Reasons of the suicide are not known. Police are examining call details of the deceased.
