Rice-laden truck turns turtle on highway in Balasore

Balasore: Locals were seen scurrying with packets of rice after a rice-laden mini truck overturned on Bahanga flyover near Soro on NH-16 in Balasore district today.

According to sources, the truck overturned after its driver lost control over the vehicle. The rice bags loaded on the truck were scattered on the spot under the impact of the fall.

On getting information Khantapada police reached the spot and detained the truck driver. Police have also initiated a probe to establish whether the rice was being transported legally or not.
