BJD to celebrate its 18th foundation day today

Bhubaneswar: BJD will celebrate its 18th foundation day at district headquarters of organisational districts today. Party activists, supporters, MLAs and ministers will participate in the function.

According to sources, the foundation day will be dedicated to farmers. As the State is going through drought and farmers are suffering a lot, the discussion will be on the farmers.

Besides, the party will discuss the steps taken by the State government for the welfare of farmers.

The party leaders will also inform people of the State how the Centre is neglecting Odisha in disbursal of drought assistance whereas other States are getting timely financial aid to mitigate the effects of the natural calamity, said sources.

Earlier, party vice president had informed that the foundation day celebrations would be a low-key affair.
