Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday issued yellow warning in view of the possibility of rain and thunderstorm in several parts of Odisha in the next 48 hours.
As per the latest IMD bulletin, a cyclonic circulation lies over Vidarbha and neighbourhood and extends upto 1.5 km above mean sea level. The yellow warning has been issued for 11 districts-Nuapada, Bolangir, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Angul, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Sonepur in the next 24 hours.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of North Interior Odisha, Balasore, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Nuapada, Bolangir, Sonepur, Kalahandi and Boudh.
Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nuapada, Bolangir, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Angul, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Sonepur.
Day 2 (valid from 1330 hrs IST of 20.03.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 21.03.2021)
Moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of North Coastal Odisha, Dhenkanal, Angul, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj.
Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Angul, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara and Cuttack.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Boudh, Angul, Kandhamal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Sundargarh
