Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday predicted that rain and thunderstorm will lash several parts of Odisha next week.
As per the latest weather bulletin, light to moderate rain or thundershower will occur at several places in the State from Tuesday (February 16).
The IMD has also issued ‘Yellow Warning’ (thunderstorm with lightning) for 15 districts - Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Boudh, Sonepur, Bolangir, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Angul and Dhenkanal.
The warning has been issued from February 17 to 0830 Hours of February 18, 2021.

Day 1 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 16.02.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 17.02.2021):
Light to moderate rain or thundershower likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sambalpur, Nuapada, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundergarh and Deogarh.
Day 2 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 17.02.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 18.02.2021):
Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of South Interior Odisha,Gajapati, Ganjam, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Balasore, Bhadrak and dry weather likely to prevail over the rest of the districts in Odisha.
Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Boudh, Sonepur, Bolangir, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Angul and Dhenkanal.
Day 3 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 18.02.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 19.02.2021):
Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Ganjam, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Bhadrak and Balasore
