Bhubaneswar: Heavy rainfall across Odisha, which has been caused by a well-marked low pressure over the Bay of Bengal, is likely to continue for the next 24 hours with the regional Meteorological department issuing warnings for different districts of the State.
Bhubaneswar Met Centre Director HR Biswas informed that rainfall activity is likely to continue at least for another 24 hours and Red warning has been issued for five districts namely Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Cuttack, Khurda and Puri. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur in these districts, he added.
Likewise, Orange warning has been issued for Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Deogarh and Angul districts whereas Sundergarh, Sambalpur, Boudh, Kandhamal and Gajapati districts have been issued Yellow warning.
Incessant rain has been affecting normal life across the State for the last two days. It has triggered flood-like situation and landslides in some areas.
