Rayagada: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) received appreciation after its alert personnel helped a businessman recover a bag containing Rs 4.5 lakh which the latter had forgotten inside a coach of Samata Express today.

According to reports, SK Yajdani had reportedly left behind the bag in B-4 coach of the Express train which he had boarded from Visakhapatnam.

It was only when Yajdani, who is an exporter of cashew nuts, was having his breakfast after alighting from the train at Rayagada at around 11 am today realised his mistake and sought help from RPF personnel.

Later, a team of RPF staff initiated measures and immediately left for Singapur station by road and recovered the cash bag from the train.
