Bhubaneswar: Congress national president Rahul Gandhi will visit Jeypore in Koraput district on March 8, while his visit to Bargarh on the same day has been rescheduled to March 13, informed Odisha Congress chief Niranjan Patnaik.
Patnaik said Rahul Gandhi will not be able to land at the Jeypore airstrip in his personal aircraft, so he will land at Vizag and fly to Jeypore in a helicopter. However, he will not be able to return to Bargarh after attending a programme in Raipur. For this reason, Rahul Gandhi will not be able to attend two programmes in Odisha on a single day, he said.
On the other hand, the State Congress has rescheduled Rahul’s Bargarh visit to the 13th of this month.
“As there will not be enough time for Rahul Gandhi to visit Bargarh, the programme there has been rescheduled for 13th of this month,” said Patnaik.
Rahul Gandhi will reach Jeypore in the morning and address a public meeting on the occasion of Women’s Day. After that, he will meet farmers of the district and later return to Delhi, party sources said.
