Puri: Puri Police today intensified probe into the large-scale violence that erupted during the Puri bandh which was organised to protest introduction of ‘Dhadi Darshan’ (queue system) on Wednesday.

Official source said, so far 15 cases have been registered including nine by Singhadwara Police Station and six by Town Police Station based on the complaints filed by various persons and district administration.

Senior police officials informed that Close Circuit Television Camera (CCTV) footage is being examined to identify the culprits involved in ransacking of property during observance of the bandh.

So far, 11 persons involved in the violence have been arrested by Town police.

On the other hand, Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) submitted a report along with CCTV footage of the large-scale violence that was reported following the introduction of the queue system before the Supreme Court-appointed amicus curiae.
