Bhubaneswar: Odisha Governor and Chancellor Prof Ganeshi Lal on Friday appointed Professor Sanjay Kumar Nayak as the new Vice-Chancellor of Ravenshaw University.
"In exercise of powers conferred by Sub Section(1) read with Sub Section(7) of Section 6 of Odisha Universities (Amendment) Act 2020, Honble Governor and Chancellor of Universities, Odisha Prof. Ganeshi Lal appointed Prof. Sanjay Kumar Nayak as Vice-Chancellor of Ravenshaw University," a statement issued by the office of the Governor read.
Professor Nayak will serve the university for a period of four years with effect from the date he assumes office as such or until further orders whichever is earlier, said Governor’s letter.
He is presently working as Director General (Chief Academic Officer) of Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology in Chennai.
Professor Nayak has more than 34 years of teaching experience and has authored 35 books. He is the inventor of 25 Indian Patents and 30 Design Registrations. He has guided one DSc and 40 PhD scholars.
Earlier on January 20, Governor Professor Ganeshi Lal had appointed Prof Sanjeev Mittal as the new Vice-Chancellor of Sambalpur University.
