Police, CWC Foil Child Marriage Bid In Khordha, Minor Girl Rescued

Khordha: The Child Welfare Committee (CWC) along with police today foiled a child marriage bid just when a minor girl was being married off in Lokeshwar temple at Palla here.

Acting on a tip-off, the CWC and police personnel reached the spot when the marriage was underway and rescued the minor girl and the guy with whom she was tying the knot.

Both of them were taken to the police station for further questioning.
