Bhubaneswar: The department of higher education today declared second merit list of junior colleges across Odisha for admission into science, commerce and arts streams.
In science stream, the cut-off mark at Ravenshaw junior college stands at 90.33% followed by BJB (90%), Basic Science (86%), Fakir Mohan college (85.33%) and Khalikotte (85.50%).
In commerce stream, with 79.5%, BJB college in the State capital has become most sought after institute by the aspirants. The merit list of other colleges in the stream are Ravenshaw (74.50%), Gangadhar Meher college (65.33%), Ramadevi (61.17%), Khalikotte college (64.67%), Vikram Dev college (57%), Samant Chandrasekhar college (50.17%).
Similarly in arts stream, BJB’s cut-off mark stands at 70% while in Fakir Mohan and Ramadevi colleges the percentages remain 70.03 and 65.83, respectively.
In Ravenshaw junior college the merit list for arts stream is 67.67%. The figure is followed by SCS college (63.17%), Vikram Dev college (62%) and Khalikote college (60%).
Officials said, admissions for all the streams would begin from July 15.
