Bhubaneswar: The School and Mass Education department today published the second phase cut-off list for admission into Plus-II courses in different junior colleges and higher secondary schools across Odisha.

The Ravenshaw Higher Secondary School in Cuttack has topped the list in Science stream with 89.2 % followed by BJB Higher Secondary School in Bhubaneswar with 87.67 %. Saraswati Vidya Mandir Higher Secondary School, Neelakantha Nagar, Berhampur has the third highest cut off in Science stream with 87.17%.

In Arts stream, BJB Higher Secondary School has the highest cut-off with 70.4 % followed by Ravenshaw Higher Secondary School in Cuttack with 70 %.

The highest cut-off percentage for Commerce stream is 75.83 % at Talcher Higher Secondary School. Ravenshaw Higher Secondary School and Shailabala Women's Higher Secondary School in Cuttack were the second and third most sought after colleges in Commerce stream.

According to official sources, as many as 91,040 students were considered for selection in the second phase but only 27,591 students were selected.

As many as 3, 33,573 students were selected for admission in the first cut off which was released on July 3. The admission process of the students was carried out from July 3 and continued till July 6.

After the admission of students in the first cut off, around 72,290 students were considered for slide up but 15,257 were finally slided up.

Students can log into – www.samsodisha.gov.in – to know the details of the admissions. This year, as many as 4, 06,177 students had registered their names for admission into Plus II junior colleges and higher secondary schools across the State.
