Bhubaneswar/Bolangir: Tension reigned in Bolangir due to the death of a patient over the alleged negligence of doctors. Dillip Jeet Gochhayat of Hatapada Pada who was critically injured in an accident on Thursday evening was admitted to the hospital and died today morning.
Family members of Dillip alleged that when the he was admitted to hospital in the evening the doctors stated about his health to be in a good condition. However Dillip died in the morning, prompting uncontrollable situation in the area.
Tension gripped in the hospital premises as the news of Dillip’s death broke out. A section of irate mob staged dharna in front of the office of Bolangir collector while another chunk of people ransacked the private clinic of the doctor, who the mob claimed to be responsible for the death. They also demanded arrest of the doctor due to the negligence caused.
