Kendrapara: In yet another instance of blind faith, a couple performed puja for nearly 14 hours to revive their dead son. The incident was reported from Balipal village under Mahakalpada police limits in Kendrapara.
The family members conducted the rituals by keeping a photo of 'Baba' Rampal with a hope to bring back their son Mahesh Sagar to life, who had died after complaining of chest pain yesterday.
Though Mahesh was initially admitted into the hospital for treatment, he was declared dead by the doctors.

Instead of accepting the boy's death, the family members started to chant mantras by performing puja. However, the family finally agreed to cremate the body after the villagers convinced them.
The family members and the villagers have refused to speak on the matter.
