OTV scribe attacked, hospitalised

Berhampur: Prasan Das, a stringer working for OTV from Chhatrapur in Ganjam district, was attacked last night in his home at Purusottampur in the district.

He, along with his wife, sustained serious injuries in the attack. Both of them have been admitted to a local hospital.

Police said that the attackers, identified as Surendra and Subash Santara, were brothers. They have been detained and are being questioned.

The reason for the attack will be ascertained after interrogation is over, they added.

Meanwhile, journalists have condemned the attack and demanded immediate action against culprits.
