Phulbani: The District Sessions Court on Tuesday awarded life imprisonment to one person and three-year imprisonment to 31 in connection with the brutal murder of a tribal of Gadamaha village under Brahmanigan police station limits in April, 2010, suspecting him of practising sorcery.

The court, in its verdict, awarded life imprisonment to prime accused Mathu Majhi and ordered three-year imprisonment with a fine of Rs 500 each to 31 persons for destroying the evidence.
