Bhadrak: Investigation is on to identify the fake examinees, who were found impersonating for real candidates in the ongoing annual High School Certificate (HSC) examinations at the Bheda Sahejaga High School in Basudevpur block in Bhadrak district today.
Reports said media persons and some local guardians, after getting news about the incident, had waited near the school to catch hold of the impersonators when more than five of them ran away from the school by jumping over the boundary.
Though the locals caught hold of a girl student while she was trying to escape, police let her go.
Later, it was found that the girl, Pinkilata Nayak, who was caught by the locals, is a student of Mahavir Girls’ High School at Rahimpur.
Asked about the incident, District Education Officer (DEO) Ranjan Giri said he has come to know about the incident. “I am investigating into the matter and the details would be known by tonight,” he said.
