Odisha dairy co-operative unveils Facebook page

Bhubaneswar: Odisha's State-run dairy co-operative "Orissa State Cooperative Milk Producers' Federation Limited" (OMFED) launched a dedicated Facebook page today in an effort to use the social media to promote its products.

Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal Resources Development Minister Pradeep Maharathy launched the page - www.facebook.com/theomfed - at a function here.

"The Facebook page will not only help the OMFED in brand building, it will also provide a platform where the customers can discuss products," the minister said.

The Facebook page will feature information related to different activities of the OMFED and its products, Chairman and Managing Director of OMFED Bishnupada Sethi told IANS.
