Maoist leader Sabayasachi Panda produced before Nayagarh SDJM

Arrested Maoist leader Sabyasachi Panda was produced before Nayagarh SDJM court yesterday in connection with attack on police armoury in the district.

The court has forwarded five cases against the Maoist leader to Nayagarh District and Sessions court for trial.

Meanwhile, the court rejected a petition filed by Panda saying that Crime Branch did not provide treatment during his illness while he was on remand. Reacting to the rejection, Panda said he would challenge the decision in a higher court.
