Cuttack: Odisha High Court on Friday said a land seller can sell the immovable property even if his/her name is not mentioned in the Record of Rights (RoR) or ‘patta’ while adjudicating a case.

The court added the Section 22/A of the state government’s amended Registration Act clearly states the land selling by a seller is possible without the RoR in his/her name.
Notably, some petitions were filed by such type of land sellers in the HC challenging the amended Registration Act as they were facing difficulties while selling their properties.
