Headmaster suspended for molesting Class V girl

Balikuda: A school headmaster was suspended today for allegedly molesting a Class V girl student. The incident occurred at Sanakala Primary School in Balikuda Block of Jagatsinghpur district.

According to sources, last Saturday the headmaster tried to molest the girl on the pretext of giving school uniform and threatened her of dire consequences if she revealed the matter to anyone. But after returning home the girl narrated the ordeal to her family, who then registered a police complaint against the HM at Balikuda police station. The police intervened the matter and took the accused into custody for interrogation.

The accused head master was suspended by the District Education officer (DEO) after the matter came to fore.

Meanwhile, after getting to know about the allegation the Block Education Officer has launched a probe into the matter.
