Five-month old baby boy dies in Capital Hospital, parent allege medical negligence

Bhubaneswar: While 29 infants were reported dead in the last six days at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Post Graduate Institute of Paediatrics (SVPPGIP), the premier paediatrics hospital in the State, also known as Sishu Bhavan in Cuttack, in another such report, a five-month old baby died at the Capital Hospital here this evening.

According to reports, the baby boy, who hails from Balipatana area of Khurdha district was undergoing treatment at the hospital.

The family members of the baby alleged that their son died due to medical negligence, the report added.
