Rayagada: The Town Police have launched a manhunt for the looters who decamped with cash worth Rs 2.5 lakh after breaking open the dickey of a bike here on Saturday afternoon.

According to police, Rabindra Acharya, a local contractor, had withdrawn Rs 7 lakh from his account at the State Bank of India’s main branch in the town at about 2 PM. He had kept Rs 4.5 lakh out of the withdrawn cash in his pocket and the rest Rs 2.5 lakh inside the dickey of his bike. After withdrawing the cash, he came to his house to pay some cash to three persons while parking his bike outside the house.
