Banjaga Jatra: Binayak Das Mohapatra nominated as Biswabasu

Puri: With a day left for Banajaga Jatra to set off, Srimandir administration today announced the names of Biswabasu and Bidyapati, who lead the divine journey. Binayak Das Mohapatra has been nominated as Biswabasu and Narasingh Pati Mohapatra as Bidyapati of the Jatra team. The applications of seven servitors were considered for the posts by the temple chief administrator and a seven-member team of Daitapati Niyog.

Reacting to the development, Binayak Das Mohapatra said, “I would like to thank the temple administrator and my servitor community for their support. My late father Rajkishore Das Mohapatra had performed this duty and today I have been assigned the big responsibility. I will perform my duty with dedication.”
