Bhubaneswar: The State government has decide to set up 72 new fire stations across the State this year, said additional director-general (Fire) M. Nageswara Rao during the passing-out parade of 56th batch of Fire Service Training Institute at Baramunda here today.

Chief secretary G.C. Pati along with Rao today reviewed the parade. A total of 277 cadets passed out from the institute this year.

Addressing the cadets on the occasion, Pati said, “Fire brigadiers play a major role in the rescue operations during disasters and this training will help the firemen enhance their skills.”
