Earlier, during the hearing held on November 9, the Crime Branch had asked for six weeks' time for submission of the charge sheet, which the court had denied.

The High Court had also directed the State government not to revoke the suspension order of the constable who was allegedly involved in the assault of the lawyer in Cuttack, which triggered the agitation.
