One killed in landmine blast

Pottangi: A man was killed in a landmine blast in Pottangi area in Koraput district on Sunday morning.

The incident occurred on Rajaguda-Kodielpadu road near Pottangi.

The identity of the deceased has not been identified so far, police said.

The deceased might have been killed while fixing the landmine near the road when it suddenly went off, police said.

Since the BSF camp is located about 2-3 km from the place of the blast, police suspects that the deceased might have made an attempt to target the Central forces.

Investigation is on.
