E-Office is a digital workplace solution for government and semi-government offices, developed by NIC and used in numerous offices and establishments throughout India. Implementation of e-Office in an office or establishment enhances transparency, increases accountability, assures data security, integrity and also transforms the work culture and ethics.
In Odisha, the Centre for Modernizing Government Initiative (CMGI), a society under the administrative control of General Administration and Public Grievances Department, is the authorized agency to implement e-Office in state government offices or establishments including the state public universities.
As CGMI bears e-Office implementation expense out of its own budget, the government universities do not have to incur any expenses on account of implementation of e-Office. Therefore, the VCs have been requested to contact CMGI for early implementation of e-Office in their universities.
