Odisha: 3 Killed,3 Injured As Ambulance Rams Into Container Truck Near Tangi

Cuttack: At least three persons were killed and three others sustained critical injuries in a tragic road mishap near Bandalo toll gate under Tangi police limits in Cuttack district in the wee hours of Saturday.

The ambulance carrying five persons from Midnapore in West Bengal was reportedly on its way to SCB Medical College and Hospital when it rammed into a stationary container truck on the National Highway.

Sources said that a minor boy and two women have sustained multiple injuries in the road accident. Both the injured have been admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital.

The condition of one of the injured is said to be critical and she has been put on ventilator support.

SK Nasir Ali, one of the relatives said, "Five members from our village were coming to Cuttack in an ambulance when it met with accident near Tangi. Driver and my uncle died in the mishap."

Ali further said that, "We do not how the accident occurred. Only after hearing about the mishap, we rushed to the spot. All of them were coming to SCB to seek medical advice for the minor."
