Odisha: Man Kills Friend After Losing In Card Game

Balasore: Upset over his defeat in a card game, a man allegedly stabbed one of his friends to death in Odisha. The shocking incident has been reported from Gudikhania area under Niligari police limits of Balasore district. The deceased has been identified as Kuna Bhol.

As per reports, Kuna was playing cards with one of his friends Ganesha Singh of the same village. During the game, the duo entered into a verbal duel.

When Kuna left for home after winning the game, Ganesh, upset over defeat, chased and attacked him with a sharp weapon.

Though Kuna was rushed to the nearest hospital, he was declared brought dead by the doctors.
“I don’t know what happened. My husband had returned home after playing cards in the village. Later, Ganesha Singh stabbed my husband with a sharp weapon," said deceased Kuna’s wife.

Following the incident, the accused escaped from the spot.

“The accused is hiding somewhere in the forest close to the village. We have launched an operation to nab him,” said Prabhanjan Behera, inspector-in-charge of Nilagiri police station.
