Bhubaneswar: With an aim to prepare the party for the future Assembly polls in Odisha, BJP national president JP Nadda has tasked the top leaders in the State to strengthen the organisation at grassroots level. The BJP supremo has asked the State leadership to complete all major tasks beginning from Booth to Mandal by December 25.
The task- Saksham Mandal should get over by April 6, which is the foundation day of the party. Similarly, work for setting up of 'Sakriya booth' should be completed by September 25- the birth anniversary of Deendayal Upadhyay and recruitment of Panna Pramukh should get completed by December 25, the birth anniversary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
With the targets set by the BJP president, the State unit has geared up with back to back meetings and brainstorming to recharge the party unit.
Party's Odisha in-charge D Purandeswari and deputy in-charge Vijay Pal singh have reviewed the preparation in state to achieve Nadda's target.
The party has prioritized to strengthen 36,000 booths and 1,000 mandals across the State. The move has aimed at achieving Amit Shah's 'Mission 120 plus' and Nadda's '50% vote gain'.
"Odisha unit of the BJP will definitely complete the tasks set by national president JP Nadda within the stipulated time frame. There is no doubt about it," BJP State general secretary Golak Mohapatra said.
On the other hand, the party commenced two-day meeting of the office bearers today. Party in-charge D Purandeswari, deputy in-charge, union minister, State president and senior leaders attended the conclave today and prepared the blueprint to corner the ruling BJD in Odisha over deteriorating law and order situation, misutilisation of central funds and farmers' issues. These apart, border dispute and heritage preservation will also be the part of the strategies that help fighting against the BJD.
MP Aparajita Sarangi who was a part of today's meeting said "As per the national crime record bureau-2019, Odisha has highest child pornography cases in the country. The State also stands second in the list of crime against women in the country. All the leaders expressed concern over the issues apart from some special particular incidents."
The State executive body has decided to reach people with issues related to unemployment, sexual harassment and farmers’ problem. The agitation will be intensified in near future, State BJP general secretary Lekhashree Samantsinghar said.
