Bhubaneswar: A group of singers have come forward to lend their voice to a song which aims to raise awareness against the rising atrocities against women and girls across Odisha. The artistes - Rajib Lochan Mishra, Shraddha Acharya and Chelsi Behura who have been on the popular singing reality show 'Indian Idol' will be recording the song in both Odia and Hindi.
“This song is composed with an aim to spread a message,” said Rajib Lochan.
While reciting a few lines of the song, Shraddha said, “Through this song, a girl is asking the society why she can’t lead a normal life like others.”
As per reports, the album which has two songs will be released soon. Dinesh Karuna, who was in-charge of photography and direction, has also done the post production work on the album.
While Shraddha has lent her voice to the Odia song, the Hindi version of the song has been sung by Chelsi. The hindi lyrics have been penned by Mumbai based lyricist Vivek Tripathy.
“I have sung the hindi version of the song along with Rajib sir who has composed the song. I hope everyone will like this song on women’s safety,” said Chelsi.
Speaking on the album, musician Trilochan Das said, “Some people are committing heinous crimes in the society. Through this song, we are spreading message about women’s safety.”
