Bhubaneswar: Four months after an Odia youth fell to his death at a construction site in United Arab Emirates (UAE), a young labourer from the State was found dead in his room in Dubai on Friday.
As per reports, the youth identified as Sribindu Maiti, who had been working in Dubai for the last two years, was found hanging from the roof of his house in the gulf city. Sribindu had visited his house at Bhateni village under Jamboo police limits in Kendrapara district for vacation and returned to Dubai around 10 days back.
Though the exact reason behind his death is yet to be ascertained, family members of Sribindu alleged foul play.
“We were told that his body was found hanging from ceiling of his house there. He must have been killed by some miscreants. A probe into the incident must be conducted soon,” said a family member.
Earlier on February 22, a youth of Bikramapur village in Ganjam district had died in an accident at a construction site in UAE. His body was handed over to the family members after more than a week.
