Bhubnaeswar: Notification was issued for the second phase elections in Odisha for 11 Lok Sabha and 77 Assembly constituencies going to polls on April 17.
Soon after the notification the candidates can file their nomination between 11am and 3 pm, CEO Mona Sharma Sharma said. The nomination process for the second phase polling will continue till March 26, she added.
Scrutiny will be held on March 27 while candidates can withdraw their papers on March 29. Voting will begin from 7 am to 6 pm on the scheduled date.
Notably, filing of nominations is in progress for the first phase elections slated April 10. BJD president Naveen Patnaik today filed papers for Hinjili Assembly constituency while senior BJP leader Dilip Ray submitted nomination for Rourkela seat.
