Miscreants Loot Rs 1 Lakh From Odisha Man At Gunpoint

Cuttack: Three bike-borne miscreants allegedly looted Rs 1 lakh from an official of Grahak Seva Kendra at gunpoint near Kuleilo Udaypur on Khuntuni-Narasinghpur road on Monday.

As per reports, the miscreants came on a Pulsar and intercepted one Sanjay Kumar Swain while he was returning with the cash from Cuttack.

“Usually I go to Cuttack at around 9:30 am every day to deposit the collection money in the bank. Today, when I was on my wat to the bank, three miscreants came on a Pulsar and one of them tried to attack me with a sharp weapon. Later they snatched away the cash from me,” said Swain.

Swain further informed that though a group of passers-by tried to catch the miscreants, they escaped after firing blank shots in the air from their gun.

A formal police complaint in connection with the incident has been registered at Athagarh police station.
