Malkangiri: A 10-year-old girl is now battling for life after she was allegedly raped by a youth in Malkangiri yesterday.
As per the complaint filed by the family members, the youth raped the girl after taking her to his house. The matter came to light after the girl's uncle found blood stains on her clothes.
"When I reached home I found blood on my niece's clothes. When I asked about it she said that she had sustained some injuries after falling down. But when I grilled her, she narrated the entire incident," said the girl's uncle, Kartik Dutta.
Later, the minor girl was admitted to the hospital after her health condition deteriorated.
Basing on the complaint filed by the girl's family, Malkangiri police has launched an investigation into the case.
