Balasore: The viscera report of the minor boy who was found hanging inside a dhaba (hotel) at Baliapal of Balasore district on July 26 will reveal the truth behind his death, informed Additional Deputy General of Human Rights Protection Cell (HRPC), Siddharth Narvane today.
The ADG visited Baliapal and met family members of the deceased and the then police station in-charge Prabhu Kalyan Acharya. Narvane said that from preliminary investigation, it was found that the minor boy hanged himself, but the truth will come out only after the analysis of the viscera report.
"The viscera report is yet to be out. Once we receive the report, we would be able to do a proper analysis," Narvane, said.
Earlier, the Director General (DG) of Police had directed the HRPC to conduct a detailed probe into the matter.
The incident had triggered tension in the area after locals torched the house of the dhaba owner. The then Baliapal Police Station in-charge, Acharya was also chased and thrashed by the mob when he had gone to the spot to carry out an investigation.
