Bhubaneswar: Some medical students have raised questions over the selection procedure of state government for filling up of doctor posts across the state.  They have alleged that candidates eligible for permanent posts have been engaged on contractual basis due to unfair selection procedure.

As per reports, an advertisement was issued by the State Health Department inviting candidates for filling up 1950 doctor posts across the state. A total of 1700 candidates had appeared for the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) exam, out of which 938 candidates were selected on permanent basis after document verifications of 1071 candidates.
