Maoists kill man suspecting him to be a police informer

Malkangiri: Maoists allegedly killed a man suspecting him to be a police informer in Dhakadrasi area under Mathili police limits of Malkangiri yesterday.

The deceased has been identified as Anant Nath Bhumiya of Bariguda village.

As per reports, Bhumiya had gone to a nearby village to see ‘Jatra’ last night where the rebels arrived and took him to the forest.

Later, he was hacked to death with sharp weapons, sources said.

Subsequently, Bhumiya died while being taken to the hospital by his family members. The incident has created an atmosphere of terror in the area.
