Bhubaneswar: A day after two TDP leaders including an MLA were shot dead near Visakhapatnam allegedly by a group of Maoists from the Andhra-Odisha Border Special Zonal Committee, concerns are now being expressed over the safety of lawmakers in Naxal-infested districts in Odisha.

However, Odisha Director General of Police, RP Sharma informed that clear guidelines have already been issued to ensure that the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) during movement of elected representatives in Maoist areas in the State is duly followed.
