Paralakhemundi: In a shocking incident, a man was allegedly hacked to death with sharp weapons in broad daylight by some unidentified assailants at Bisiring village under Kashinagar block of Gajapati district today.
According to sources, the deceased identified as Sanjeeb Rao of Bhupati Laxmipur was going to court to attend a hearing of the murder case of his wife on his motorbike when some assailants intercepted him midway near Bisiring village and hacked him to death.
On being informed, Kashinagar police rushed to the spot and have sent the body for post-mortem.
“We reached the spot after getting information. More details will be known after the investigation,” informed the Inspector-in-Charge (IIC) of Kashinagar Police Station, Anand Chandra Patra.
“He was going to court in connection with his wife’s murder case when some miscreants hacked him to death. He had no enmity with anyone,” said one of the relatives of the deceased.
