Bhubaneswar: Several parts of Odisha will experience light rainfall and thunderstorm in the next four to five days, the India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) Regional Centre in Bhubaneswar informed on Saturday.
As per the latest IMD bulletin, a low pressure area has formed over East-central Bay of Bengal off the Myanmar coast under the influence of a cyclonic circulation over East-central Bay of Bengal & adjoining North Andaman Sea.
An associated cyclonic circulation extends up to 4.5 km above mean sea level and the system is likely to move towards Bangladesh coast during next 48 hours. A trough runs from the cyclonic circulation associated with the above low pressure area to Bangladesh across Northeast Bay of Bengal and extends up to 1.5 km above mean sea level,' the IMD bulletin read.
Under its influence, several parts of the State will experience light rain and thunderstorm till November 4.

Day 1 (Valid from 8.30 am November 1 up to 8.30 am of November 2)
Light rain or thundershower likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara and Jajpur.
Day 2 (Valid from 8.30 am November 2 up to 8.30 am of November 3)
Light rain or thundershower likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Ganjam and dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest of the districts of Odisha.
Day 3 (Valid from 8.30 am November 3 up to 8.30 am of November 4)
Light rain or thundershower likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Puri, Ganjam and Gajapati.
