Locals stage road blockade over drinking water, electricity in Gajapati

Paralakhemundi: Tension erupted at Sridhar Nagar area in Paralakhemundi of Gajapati district after locals staged a road blockade today alleging problems in electricity and drinking water supply.

According to sources, the natives of Sridhar Nagar area have alleged that they have been suffering because of electricity and drinking water problems.  As per allegations, local administration has not paid any heed to repeated complaints.

The agitators staged protest blocking the NH linking Paralakhemundi and Andhra Pradesh.

Vehicular movement was severely disrupted on account of the protest, informed sources.
