Kalahandi: Tension prevailed in Kesinga area of Kalahandi district after locals blocked the National Highway-26 protesting the death of a person in a road accident today. The deceased has been identified as Digambar China Guda.
According to sources, the incident took place this morning at Kantesir village near Kesinga when Digambar was hit by an unidentified vehicle, killing him on the spot.
Irate over the incident, locals kept his body on the road and blocked NH-26 demanding compensation for the kin of the deceased.
Later, Kesinga police reached the spot and pacified the mob to withdraw the agitation.
