Bhubaneswar: Children from around 600 schools participated in a painting competition held at the Indira Gandhi Park here today to voice their concern on a sensitive issue like child labour.
The competition was held in two age group categories – ‘Little Champs’ (below Class-III) and ‘Young Champs’ (Class IV-VII) on the title ‘Stopping Child Labour’.
The event was organized on the sideline of 13th annual day of TATWA Technology, a city-based IT company having five delivery centres across the country.
Speaking on the occasion, company’s managing director Ayaskant Mohanty said, “We are delighted by the positive response received from the students for the painting competition on this theme. Such initiatives are very important to explore children’s thought on such a sensitive social issue. We are absolutely amazed by having such best of creative talents here.”
Adding his views, its co-founder and CEO Tapendra N Senapati said, “Every year Tatwa has been voicing out on social issues like this. This painting competition has been organized to involve young minds and their parents in the process of resolving the issue.”
